The lock did not start at prayer time

1. Open Salah Gate > Settings > Permissions and make sure all four are allowed: Usage access, Display over other apps, Alarms & reminders and Notifications.
2. Check that the prayer is switched on under Settings > Lock at, and that you chose at least one app under Apps.
3. Some phones stop background apps to save battery. In Android Settings > Apps > Salah Gate > Battery, choose Unrestricted (the name differs by phone maker).
4. After restarting your phone, the lock can take up to a minute to come back.

The prayer times look different from my mosque

Times are calculated on your phone from your city and calculation method. Choose the method used where you live under Settings > Calculation method (for example Diyanet in Turkey, Umm al-Qura in Saudi Arabia, ISNA in North America) and the Asr setting you follow (Standard or Hanafi). A difference of about a minute is normal. When in doubt, follow your local mosque.

How do I unlock?

Tap I prayed on the prayer screen, in the notification or on the Today screen. You can also switch a prayer off in Settings. Phone calls, emergency calls, the home screen and Settings are never locked.

Subscriptions

• Cancel: Google Play > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions > Salah Gate.
• Restore: Settings > Restore purchase, signed in with the same Google account.
• Refunds: handled by Google Play under its refund policy.

Uninstalling the app does not cancel a subscription.
