Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of Salah Gate: Salah & Prayer Lock ("the app"), published by Hugo Software. By installing or using the app you agree to them.
What the app is
Salah Gate is a self-commitment tool. You choose the apps you find distracting; at each prayer time they are locked until you tap "I prayed". You are always in control:
- The lock never blocks your phone dialer, emergency calls, the home screen or Settings.
- You can turn the lock off for any prayer, change your apps, or uninstall the app at any time.
- "I prayed" is based on your own word. The app does not check or judge your worship.
Prayer times
Prayer times are calculated on your phone from the city and calculation method you choose. Times for Turkey are tuned to match the tables published by Diyanet; the app is not affiliated with Diyanet or any other religious authority. Calculated times can differ by a minute or more from your local mosque or official timetable, especially at high latitudes. When in doubt, follow your local mosque or religious authority. The app does not give religious rulings.
Licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app on devices you own or control. You may not copy, resell, reverse-engineer or redistribute the app.
Free features
The app is free to download. Prayer times, the prayer lock with up to 3 apps, the prayer-time reminder and this week's prayer journal are free, with no time limit.
Salah Gate Pro subscription
Salah Gate Pro is an optional auto-renewing subscription. It unlocks locking an unlimited number of apps and your full prayer journal history.
- Plans: weekly, monthly or yearly. The price of each plan is shown in the app and in Google Play, in your local currency, before you confirm.
- Free trial: the weekly plan may start with a 3-day free trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, the subscription renews automatically at the regular weekly price.
- Renewal: every plan renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel.
- Billing: payment is charged to your Google Play account; all payment processing is done by Google Play.
- Cancelling: cancel any time in Google Play > Subscriptions. You keep Pro until the end of the period already paid for.
- Uninstalling the app does not cancel the subscription.
Prices may change. If a price changes for an existing subscription, Google Play notifies you before charging the new price.
Refunds
Refunds are handled by Google Play under its own refund policy. If you believe you were charged in error, contact Google Play support; you may also write to [email protected] and we will help where we can.
Phone limits
Android and some phone makers may stop or delay background apps, alarms and notifications to save battery. If a lock starts late or not at all, check the permissions in the app and your phone's battery settings. The app cannot guarantee that every lock starts on time on every device.
Availability and changes
We may update, change or discontinue features of the app. The app is provided as it is at any given time.
No warranty
The app is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, including any warranty that prayer times are accurate for your location or that locks start when expected.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Hugo Software is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of data stored on your device. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Your statutory rights as a consumer are unaffected.
Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms; the current version is always available at this address.
